Hey,
Very nice isnt it, lowered and in mint condition!
Did they have those badge thingos behind the rear qtr panel or has the owner put em on aftermarket?
Cheers,

nice one its just that google image search etc didnt reveal any information about as to what car it is!
There was also a Brougham car name in America too I have since found out!
So basically it was the bees knees in terms of luxury level spec in its day?

The tail looks too short for thre Brougham. I think that it is a HK Premier, top of the standard bodies, while the Brougham had the boot extended 4" to compete with the Fairlane.
Here are the specs

Yeah definatly HK Premier, I haven't seen one around for a few years come to think of it (on the street, see a few at the drags still). Funny how common cars suddenly become rare without you even noticing
Yep, it's a HK Premier. Also the HK was the first Holden model to have a 2 door, or better known as the Monaro![]()
Yep HK Prem
Guys,
What about the side badging on the rear Qtr panel?
And the tail lights how they extend inwards? I didnt think the HK Premiers had those!
Cheers,
VT97Calais
Definatly not a Brougham as the lights are wrong and the boot is too short. The badges may have been added later - they look like front guard badges to me but it's very hard to tell.
Reaper
Yeah ive seen it around Glenny a couple of times (nice shot of the train station there to by the way)
Definallty a premier, the guy who owns it has definallty looked after it.
Yeah Reaper thats right, but whats the deal with the red tail lights up the back that extend onto the back garnish area?
Normal prems have just silver there!

It is standard. Have a look at this HK Prem for sale 1968 Used HOLDEN HK PREMIER SEDAN Car Sales Newcastle NSW $5,500

Depending on what model they are some had the taillight garnish that extended the full length of the boot . Alot of them faded to silver over time or were cleaned with steelo to give them a nice chrome effect. The badge on the rear quarter panel is factory . Premiers also came with twin headlights .Interesting fact , the next model , the HG front grille was made up of small vertical and horizontal bars which caused an annoying "whistle " at speeds over 80 kays and there were quite a few complaints to dealerships from irrate drivers wanting the noise fixed.
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
Monaro had the full strip on the boot from memory.
