LHD conversion?

Hi all,
I would like to do a Left Hand Drive conversion to a VY and VZ ute to take over to the U.S. Would anyone have some information an how I would go about this? I am trying to find someone here locally that may know how to do this. Any tips, leads or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

why not just buy a genuine chevy in the states?

i would imagine the best way would be take the car there first and get it converted using the GTO front end steering off a wrecked one or something. just throwing ideas out there. i wonder if yanks put holden badges on their pontiacs lol.

Why would you want waste your money to convert it to LHD? There are heaps of RHD cars over there. Why not make it easy for yourself and check with local authorities for whichever State you intend to reside in. By the way, you must also understand that there are specific requirements (similar to our ADR) regarding the legallity of vehicles permitted on US roads. Lights, fuel tank, wipers, emissions etc. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Just pick up a left hand drive VY/VZ from somewhere like Saudi Arabia. We got one here in Perth, left hand drive VY SS from factory that was ment for the middle east.
