Hi,
Just called a few LPG installers and some are saying that because my car is march 2004, i cannot put a mixer setup on the car (they say direct injection)
only a small few of the people i spoke to said this..
what is the law? and are they just trying to make more money by injection kits?
cheers.
My VY was built in 3/2004 and it has an 'old' style LPG setup.. How odd..
did you get it converted or did it come like that?
i am not sure what the go is here.
if anyone can shed some light it would be appreciated.
The factory Impco system I fit IS emission aspproved.
AND the IMPCO aftermarket kits I get ARE emission approved too.
The installer should provide you with documentation proving that the kit has been tested and complies. (we do and it has the dyno printout of the laboritory drive cycle test and a signature of the tester)
So it is utter bullcrap that they are not able to be approved. Its a standard line for installers to make you fit injection unessesarily.
Yeah Sam, it came like that.. It's the 'factory kit'..
I am very interested in the facory kit, but i called the distributor here in perth and they told me that it is no longer made by GM.
BlownBA, do you have any idea where i can find one in WA?
and if you dont know where to get one, What is your opinion of SPRINT gas?
I have no idea of Perth availability, sorry.
I am not the biggest fan of mixer ring systems, which is what the sprint gas is.
I would look for a GENUINE impco system, that way you are getting the same stuff the the factory kit has.
Why do you thing Holden went with Impco???
Its cause they found it to be the best performing and most reliable.
do sprint gas systems meet emmisions requirements?
