    Angry help!! front disk rotors

    the front disk rotors on my vr will not budge any ideas how to remove them?

    calipers off yea?

    your gunna get rid of the old rotors yea?

    then get out the good ol sledge hammer and smashed the baaaaast off.

    hit it then roatate it, hit then rotate, etc till it comes off.

    as long as you're replacing them.....then as above. Just done mine last friday. New discs and I would assume you would/should be putting new pads in as well. Don't forget to take some fluid out of the brake reservoir before you push pistons back to refit calipers. May help to wire brush hub to make it easier for old discs to slide off + a bit of crc.

    Grab one of the bolts that hold the caliper onto the caliper mount.

    It's a perfect fit for the 3 holes that are in the rotor towards the centre. Put it in one and screw it in til you see the rotor start to move off the hub. Take it out and put it in the next one. Keep going bit by bit (or use 2 bolts at the same time).

    The bolt pushes against the hub and the rotor will come off. Mine were both rusted tight!

    Just use a decent hammer and spin the hub slowly and keep bashing away at the top edge as you spin and it will unfreeze it eventually, dont be afraid to give it a decent floggin.

    i used some piston puller thing and a rattle gun...worked fine with no damage to the rotors
