engine swap v6 - v8

hello all - this has probably been posted a million times before so feel free to have a go at my lazyness in not searching all the previous posts.

my dilemma is simple - I have a mint vx2-s pack with 50k on the clock but am getting really, really ****ed that i still dont have a v8.

love my car & dont want to sell it for a higher k eight (& moneys tighter at the moment) but would just want to swap the engine to a later model ls2 or ls3 similar to those available through holparts website.

would it be cheaper in the long run to buy a cheap ss, recondition as needed & swap into mine as I go then sell what i have left? (a 6 cylinder SS????)

figure I will need trans, loom & computer as minimum + brakes & some suspension (about to spend on nolathane soon) as well as motor and looking for any advice, pointers or links to help out in making this decision.

Sell your car and add a couple extra grand to the sale price. That will get your butt in a WH statesman

Unless you have a show car or the same amount of money spent on the rest of the car, would be easier to buy a LSX car. as the V8 market has fallen to shreads at the moment, there are some very cheap V8s out there. would also save you alot of hassle.
