    Default lsd?

    hi all just a quick questin how can i tell if a diff is an lsd without actually driving the car. thanks in advance

    jack the car up so that both rear wheels are off the ground. Spin one of the wheels in a forward direction. If the opposite wheels turns in the same direction then you do NOT have an LSD or spool. If the opposite wheel turns in the oppostie direction then u have an LSD.

    I think its the other way around :P

    If they both spin the same way then its a lsd or spool.... If one spins forward and one spins back its a single

    ^^^ second that - both turn in the same direction.

    also LSD should have a tag to say it is a LSD.

    the above is fine unless the LSD is totally rooted and then it will behave just like a standard diff doing those tests. the only way to truelly tell is to remove the cover off the diff so that you can identify the center properly.
