yes once when replacing the radiator and once again when changing the thermostate.

I see this over and over again, being a mechanic and hearing stories about people having over heating problems and replacing everything and finding no solution. First i would check the connection between the temp gauge and the sender on the engine. Then i would check that your thermo fan is working and comes in at the correct time. Also if you wanted to get a temperature probe and check what the temp actually is. These easy checks will save you lots of $$$$$$.
