Default Anyone change Caliper Bolts ???

In the manuals when changing rotors and brake pads, its states to change caliper bolts, as apparently they are torque to yield, does anyone do this ???

I got new ones in my PBR brake overhaul kits. But I normally change pads without changing the bolts.

I replace mine every time I change rotors. For the relatively small price it is piece of mind. Remember we are talking brakes here!

Are we talking the Caliper to knuckle bolts or the caliper to anchor bracket slide bolts as the Holden pad kits come with the latter bolts in the box.
But no I'never changed them and I do use locktite on them if I do remove them.

i think they supply new bolts with kits because the need to have some sort of locking compound used. you'll note all the new bolts in the kits have a locking compound on the threads already. i just clean em and use loctite. probable have dozens of bolts floating around here somewhere

cant say i've ever changed em either, it also states in the manual that every 6 months your meant to jack the car up, remove wheels and inspect all brake hoses and fittings looking for leaks, but i cant say i've ever done that either. every time the car is in the air, i'll have a quick look under the car, but nothing in detail.

Changed them once on my Sigma, thats only cos one fell out and caused the calliper to break in half, but thats what the hand brake is for.

i change them if they come in the brake pad kit, i work at a dealership (not holden) and have been trained that way to replace them if supplied as they can strip over time.
