alarm system

hi i have a vr commodore with factory fitted alarm system the alarm goes off with out any warning after it has been driven or on very hot days has any one else had this happen would apriciate any advice many thanks

If you have a boot switch in the glove box, take it apart and clean it out. Take a peice of very fine emery paper and clean the brass conection.
When your alarm goes off open the door of your car and look at the secuirity light and it will flash in a sequence, like 3 shorts, or 4 shorts etc, and that corosponds to the door that has the fault.
