I want to know if it is possible to interchange later model eg; VS-VX IRS diff centers into earlier model eg; VP housings?

hmmm fair enough, what about the housings do they use the same mountings or are they a different set up as well? the problem i have is it's warn and getting really noisey, so i just want to fix it cheaply due to the fact i'm selling the car!
