I hav just recently purchased a very tidy VH SL/E sedan with a 253 and due to the new P plate laws i am not aloud to drive any v8 but i hav a mild blue 202 at home that is out of my VH wagon and was wondering wat is involved in putting the 202 into my new sedan so i can drive it on my P's??
is there an adapter for the engine mounts?
a different engine mount?
or is there engineering involved??
was wondering money and time roughly
considering i can do all the work accept for the mounts
thanks guys any help is appreciated
all youll need to mount it is a 6cyl engine kframe not hard to find also gearbox and mount to suit the 6cyl no engineering required

The holden 6 and V8 both run the same K frame, Don't knock the 253s guysI've been in some that would spank most V6's silly
its ok greenie im only knocking my 253 :P i know they can actually go quite hard with a bit of work

problem ive found with some 253's are there tired, but a low millage good condition blue motor with a the 4 barrel quadie and a manual absolutly flog..
and yes it an easy swap will have to swap the front halves of the tailshaft over, move the gearbox crossmemeber rearward (there are holes threaded for this) that is all apart from the obvious engine, gearbox, radiator, exhaust...
my vb only has 144xxxkms on it, stock with a 350 holley carby but it seems really tired and sluggy :P must just be too used to the LS1 :P
