Default VY series 2 vs VS calais

My mate and I were having a discussion on which would be quicker
my HBD VY series 2 exec or his VS Calais
Both unmodified, he said his has air intake or some shit, i dunno much bout cars so i dunno if he talking out his ass or what

can anyone give me an idea on which would be quicker...?

not 100% sure mate but i would go the vs. i could be rong but the are both ecotech yea ? and the vs is the lighter of the two so i would pick the vs. but the vy is no doubt the nicer car.

    yeh both are ecotech
vs being the lighter car gives it the advantage
but being a vy series 2 it is the last model ecotech made, therefor all the flaws would be out, new technology etc
vy definetly the nicer car tho

i also have a series 2 vy. b4 i had the vy i had a vs exec, jumped in the new car expecting it to faster but was dissapointed. i would say there isnt to much difference in the two but the vs did feel like it pulled harder off the line.

so many factors? Was the VS an Ex Taxi with a million K's, has it had its guts pulled out towing a massive van? what the condition of the driveline? tyres? wheel sizes. fuels? has it been looked after and is your car thrashed?

only way to be sure is on a track, (If you got one)

i will go with the vy.because its newer and if they are both auto i will say that the vs auto will be slipping a little bit and the vs will have heaps more kms.
why don't you and your mate go to the drags or out of town and find out lol ?
