passing pink slip inspection

got a 97 vt wagon car is in top condition oonly thing wrong is both right side door outside leavers do not open the doors need to open from inside.
will they fail me on inspection or does it just come down to the mechanic doing it??

I don't want to state the obvious but yes it will fail. Can't you simply fix it yourself before the inspection? As the main thing is you'd save loads of coin
