ok my mates said a few annoying comments that his stupid corolla would beat my commodore in a race or that it has more power to weight.
his corolla is a e90 (1994) (the one holden nova rebadged)
its a stock as a rock hatchback
i know his chassis is e-92
and that its not the fuel injected version i think it weighs 1085kg
cant remember his motor but anybody who knows cars sholud be able to figure it out on the facts i gave.
now mine is a commodore vr sp2 wagon (1994 aswell)
im not certain but i think there like 1400kg
the only mod ive done that has anythin to do with the motor is a cat back sports exhaust
i would have gone straight for the v6 commodore personally by a long shot but he insists the power to weight is better **rolls eyes**
your thoughts??!!
race him n find out dude
if u loose, do a few things and race him again
You might be surprised how much difference 400kg makes...
My money is on the AE92, especially if it has the supercharged engine![]()

since when did they bring out supercharged engines on rollas in '94 ? or was someone taking the piss ....
A mate of mine with a 'rolla talks about a supercharged engine. 130kw iirc. That would be a little weapon in a corolla. And I think there is a 20v motor with about 115kw as well
Oh, and if it is a similar corolla to his (manual AE92) then your commodore will be a fair bit quicker stock-stock

stall that sh*t up and you should smash him, hold it in first and it should switch automatically to 2nd
p.s. within the speed limit

why would anyone go with the corolla ppl say they pick up but i definately think it speeds up slower. plus it takes a corner too fast and spins out
its not 400 kg difference mine weighs just under 1400 and his is supposed to be 1085 i just dont know the power difference between them
It's around 1000kg for the corolla, and 75kw according to my mate

Apparently 75, 88, 97 or 103 kw depending on the engine, but most have the 75kw one
So compare that to 1385ish kg for your commodore and about 130kw out of the buick

his motor is 67 kw just found out he wants the 4a-ge motor for his model it is 103kw but that is years away what is a stock vr s2 kw? and does the 2.5inch sports exhaust make anydifference at all
oh cheers mate
