Just wondering, when doing a radiator flush and collecting all the coolant/c**p that comes out if it, what is the best way to dispose of it all?
I understand that it is toxic stuff so there are probably specialised places that look after this sort of stuff.
Cheers
No-one got any advice?
Just dump it somewhere like a dead patch of grass.etc. Its only toxic when ingested and it breaks down into further chemicals. I just pull the lower radiator hose and let it drain onto my driveway (gravel). Maybe not the best thing to do if it can run into nearby drains.etc and dont let it pool where animals may drink it because of its sweet taste.
If you're particularly concerned, your local mechanic could probably take it off your hands for $5.

Cheers guys probably a stupid question, but just thought there was a procedure in place as with motor oil changes![]()
Motor oil (particularly used) is far more dangerous to the environment than coolant.![]()
