won't start after wash,

i just hose down my VP engine bay the other day while giving everything a good clean, its started for about 6 times (just moving the car around the garage)
woke up this morning, the battery was almost dead and check engine light wont come on, so after i ask a few neighbors with VE's to give me a jump i couldnt even find there battery...i went got leads and spare battery try to start it but all i could hear was a very weird electrical spark sound from what i could only think is the starter motor....what have i done! note that it did started about 6 times before this, i hosed it down 2 days ago and last start was 12 hours ago just to move to wheels so i can get mud flaps off ( was a quick on off).

err help!?!...please?

i have had the nut comes lose on the back of the starter a few times or
sometimes start and sometimes no go

The battery in the VE is in the boot, but there are two posts in the engine bay
