Hi, I just brought a car and was wondering what is involved in getting a vicroads permit. The car i brought doesnt come with RWC or reg. Never got a permit before so wouldnt have a clue about it. Is it as simple as going intop vicroads and filling out paperwork?

thanks

Even though you are buying it without rego, if the car IS still registered (Current rego - plates not handed in and rego not expired) you can NOT get a permit to drive it.
Ive only had this issue once and its a pain in the arse to deal with if the previous owner wont hand the plates in or give them to you.
you also cant hand in another persons rego/plates.

other than that, take your license, the engine AND VIN number and about $80 for a month.
