Hey guys just mountin the dukes of hazard style honr in my ute. Read lots of descriptions but would luv to see some fotos of installs of these horns? None of nethin less that a vt coz they arn't the same engine bay config. Ne help would b great![]()
Where are you trying to mount them?
Dnt really know. I was thinkin behind the grill, alot of people have said radiator support? It just hard to fit 5 horns without creatin problems for air delivery and water issues
I installed one on my lancer and mounted them onto brackets on the firewall. For a commo I would highly suggest to put them near the radiator as that is really the only room there is.
A Commodore is a passion. Anything else is just a car
got mine installed under the left hand head light in my vs
Mine are on the passenger's side near the air conditioning hose and I made an aluminium bracket to protect the compressor from exhaust heat. Sorry but it's difficult to obtain a decent photo of them in that position and note the black wiring conduit that I covered the air hoses and part of the trumpets with to help protect from heat, hope this helps.

Nobody wants to play with me
Hey mate bit of a thread digg lol ,Dont have any pics . but anyways basically I installed them under the front bumper/ right head light along the radiator sorta bar support using a few L shaped brackets to hang the trumpets , so the horn was facing down. All along in a line took a bit of moving and fine turning because theres not alot of room there . What i did is with the bumper still on mark where the L brackets could go , then took the bumper off and installed them then checked if the bumper fitted . I then ran all the pipes to the compressor which i had near the batttery, sorta just resting there between the body
I made a picture for you waht im talking about

yeah there is not much room in the engine bay for 5 horns !
Trayner: you dont get any probs with water or dust and shit getting in the trumpets on the front there?
Cheers
If all else fails HIT IT WITH A HAMMER !
