Get a mail order tune from one of the good ls1 tuners, big big gains in power and economy on the LS motors. I wouldn't even worry about owning/driving one on the standard tune, theres a huge difference in performance with those things

Obviously that's a custom tune price, but mail order are around the $450 mark. Mine's mail order and it's excellent.

Yeah 900 ish for the Dyno tune. They are more expensive the first time, so once you get it done you can go back for adjustments and its not that bad of a reaming.

Take a look at the sponsers area of the forum, more specifically Enhanced Automotive. They do Mail Order tunes. You send them money, they send you a PCM with tune, you plug it in and away you go.

As grennan said, you choose your tuner, call them up and they send you a bcm with your tune in it. Once you have it in you parcel up your original and send it back. Most tuners charge you $200 odd bucks on top of the tune for this but you get it refunded once the tuner has received your original bcm in the mail.

So are the dyno tunes better than just the mail order ones?

I live in SA so thinking about getting a dyno tune from Enhanced Automotive in Salisbury (they have a forum on this site) anyone been here and have feedback or know of any other good tuners in Adelaide?
