Because when you hit the limiter the injectors turn off, no fuel, no power and no more being silly

I think he's talking about it hitting second gear, then dropping back to first. They just do that man, can be a pain.

while im not condoning it, but i dont know why everyone says just dont do them, because im sure just about everyone here on this forum does burnouts, they just say they dont when their on the forums

if your going to do it, just hold it back from hitting the limiter and shifting to second, even if you put the stick in 1st gear if you hit the limiter it will still change to 2nd

    or just dont do them

I don't think so... paying for 275/30/20 tyres is NOT something I want to do unless I have to...

Can't say I have ever felt the need to do a burnout. No challenge what so ever. Much better to put together an awesome lap around a track and use the old brain box a bit.

Ever driven a car with a locker ? Can be more hassle then it's worth while driving home from the pub blind

For the original poster, could the ECU be seing false knock when you hit the limiter causing massive amounts of timming to dissappear ?
