My brother did go with me. And so did my step dad. My brother is a qualified mechanic and my step dad is a B-grade mechanic who's been doing stuff for many years most commonly commodore work. They both are passionate about commodores in general (and so am I, sorry Ford).
My brother didn't notice it when he drove it on the test drive, so he was none the wiser. When he took it in for an auto-service a week later he said he had noticedsomething, but I didn't actually notice anything.
Only a week ago did it actually REALLY start getting bad. In fact I would say that it was only over the course of a few drives that it went BAD and noticable. My guess is that the missing bolt fell out then which set off all the problems.
The car now feels better than it had ever been so I'm not complaining about the work done. The charge is probably excessive but honestly, its so much better (and so much safer) that trying to get Holden to pay for it now is probably going to end in tears *figuratively speaking*.
The only thing is, I need a wheel balance cause the steering shudders at 100km/h now which is a bit annoying but thats easy to get corrected.
Who else does wheel balances in Brissy? Ultra-Tune do 'em?
All the Pedder's around where I live are booked out tomorrow.
Um i'm not sure if you were responding to another post at the same time, i never gave them any money. And yes i guess it does vary from store to store, with regards to the sort of treatment you will get.. ANother example, panhard rubbers were worn, so Pedders said new panhard bar, thats $100. I said your kidding right, or you can have it for $50 they said, and fit it yourself. Cant i just replace the rubbers seperately i asked, nope, gotta buy the whole rod they said. Ok, so does this rod if i fit it myself include the rubbers then? Nope, you gotta buy them seperately. WFT!!!! is all i had to say to them!!![]()

I'm just going to ultra tune tomorrow morning. Shudder is quite noticable at 100.
