hi there, just wondering what is the legal height a car can be lowered, (a VZ ute.)
cheers..
As long as you can drive over a coke can and not knock it over then it's legal. for a VZ, SSL are about as low as you could go...maybe only Super Lows
Also depends on your exhaust system as that will likely be the lowest part of your under carriage. Im on super lows and only got 6cm clearance because of the massive Pacemaker secondaries.
It also isnt a coke can because a coke can is almost 120 - 130mm, so just go with the 100mm from the lowest point and you'l be fine
when i went to get mine lowered i told them to make it as low legally as you can thats the best way
**** me, 3 of these threads in 24 hours...
Forget that coke can rule, it's bullshit. Just don't slam your ute on it's arse like most wankers do and you will be fine.

Yeah Ive been along side police before at the lights and theyve had a look at kept driving. Its not the lowest thing on the road but im sure you could slap a yellow sticker on it.
There is no such thing as stupid questions, Only stupid people.
i tihnk u'll fing that you can't lower a ute much at all from factory because they are designed to carry a load, ring your police peoples and they should be able to tell you the correct info

You can lower it, so long as even if your vehicle is carrying a load it does not have lower than 10cm clearance anywhere. If you are carrying 3 passengers in the back seat for example and one's really heavy and drops you under 10cm you can still receive a canary for it.
I kone but the legal eye brow height counts to in SA i've heard you can only lower a new VE ute about 10mm from factory which means once your springs 'sag' it's illegal. and If your under your eye brow it's a canary too so for all those cavaners stop towing on stock springs, up grade them
