If you are lucky and have a good council you might get some money out of them for the damages, just go in with a lot of photos and proof. It can't hurt to give it a go anyway

My mate hit a roo, took it too the council and they said there a kangaroo signs up and he took picks of the damage and the roo and took a video of the road from one end to another. There were no signs so they paid up.

as stated before, take pictures of the damage, take pictures of the hole etc etc, forward them to the relevant road owner either, rta or council and seek damages, they do it too, i know a few people who have done it

the council will laugh at you and tell you it's your fault for running such low profile tyres. Seriously anything above 19" is stupidly impractical for Australian roads.

Yeah here in Vic theres a notorious part of the Freeway that is known as the Monash Speedbump. Its caused a few bent rims and people have gone and complained to VicRoads and have got money out of someone.

Which are impractical for Australian roads When you're riding on licorice straps, the rest of your suspension has to work overtime to compensate, and as a result bushes/bearings don't last as long

Gone are the days of getting fifteen years out of a set of shocks.

Did you take it to Promac in Cardiff? I've taken a few rims there before and he's been bloody awesome, and cheap too (bout $100 for a cracked and bent rim off a pothole)

What is your tyre profile? With 22's, you must be running rubber bands - no wonder your rim was damaged.

22's shouldn't be sold in Australia - the roads just aren't good enough.

You can't stop selling big rims just because of pot holes(AND IT"S THEIR CASH, THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY LIKE!) it's just a bit of common sense, do your best to keep your eye on the road. I've had stuffed side walls on my 17's from dodgy roads!
They proved massive rims with super low profiles don't give you as much grip as a set of 17, 18 or even 19's on Top Gear Australia!

tyre profile are 245-30-22 and they are khumo sports or something like that, which cost $700 a tyre lol

yea i know they dont give much grip but they look shit hot, way better then 17's and 18's... always swerve to miss pot holes bit it was at 12.00 at night on a bit of road they were fising up in the poring down rain and i couldnt see a thing..

no i didnt take it to promac, took it to where i bought the wheels from, tyre power at wickham but if they keep tooling around i will take it to promac for sure.

Dead right, you can't stop people buying these wheels if they want them. My point is that with our shit roads and the high risk of damage to the wheels, tyres and suspensions, where is the common sense in marketing them here? There isn't any, I guess - money talks.

Promac are always flat out if you get the chance call in there one day they get rims with 6inch picecs taking out of them and fix them like new

What road did this happen on cos all roads a ***d in newie
