what to do with boot

hey guys

i recently got my car resprayed in ford bionic blue, the thing is i didnt get the underside of the boot lid done and now wen i open the boot obviously its a different colour than the rest of the car. i was thinking about sticking some black vynil or fabric onto it so it doesnt look as bad. i was just wondering wat u guys think i should do because the lid has like highs and lows through it should, should cut out some thin MDF or cardboard to stick on and then glue the fabric to that to get a flat look?
