well ive got a vt commy, and i was tossing up between doing it up, mainly looks now and when i get off my ps chucking an ls1-2-or 3 in it. or saving up my money to find an old hq monaro or hq kingswood and doing that up?? what do you guys think i should do

imo it's not worth the heart transplant. Either get a different car or just hold onto the money.

save most of your money (a few mods is ok) and buy a newer better car when your off ya p's

its weird, i love all this technology in the new cars these days but ive never really liked newer cars as much as old cars. like id rather have an old monaro then a new one. haha

oh and if i do buy an old monaro or kingswood it will be a restoration project so id learn stuff as well as keeping myself pre occupied

i know how you feel but if you do get a old car be ready so spend alot fixing it up

haha :P. yeh i know i will have to spend alot to get it fixed up, but thatl be over a a couple of years or so, so im not that worried about the money issue

yeh im going to try and find some ppl have been down this path . yeh hopeing for one haha, but if i cnt find a monaro i was thinking of just doing a hq kingswood to monaro conversion (seeing as they are exactly the same body shape and everything as the sedan monaro just different interior and such) either way i want that gts

a few years ago a mates father asked me to take a hj and a hk monaro both gts (i think ) both worked (very very worked) and he only wanted 8 grand as he was sick of spending money on them...... i'm still kicking myself for rejecting his offer 5 yrs later

get a couple torana's as restoration projects, like mine , greats cars they are, they're a small car, but still look tough, and they are light as hell, so you'll have a quick car
