ford v8 into a commodore

i was just wondering if there has been many people that have stuck a boss 290 into a commodore . ive heard of people putting chevs into fords but not the other way around

Doubtful. There's a reason the Ford V8 doesn't sell as well as the Holden V8.

There no way it would fit in, it BARELY fits in a Falcon, plus it's not as good a motor as a LS1. Putting a Ford 6 in, now that might be forth doing

Yer their a pretty wide motor and the alloy chev's are more advanced!

The boss is neck and neck with the ls1 until cams are involved. Then the boss is waaaaaaaay outclassed

The boss engine is a POS, same as every other Ford V8....Ford have never had a decent V8. For the life of me, i can't work out why anyone would buy the Boss V8 over the XR6T!

There's a perfectly good reason why guys put Chevs in Fords, because no V8 Ford have ever built will even come close to comparing to a SBC....

Can't hear them when they are next to me either. Twin system ftw. I went over it all in my head before i bought my xr8. Myself and probably everyone in the known universe know the xr6t is sooo much better for getting power out of its simple as that, but my xr8 is my work ute with an alloy tray and all that so i wont be going for a 10sec 1/4.

I wanted a good looking and sounding ute with some balls which is exactly what it has. When i get another sedan it will be an xr6t
