I have a brand new set of bushes here for the rear sway bar links,
The ones that are currently on it are fairly old (12 years) and I think one is split.
But there is no movement in the rear when trying to push/pull the side of it.
Is it worth replacing them if there is no/minimal sway?
I guess changing 12 year old bushes with new ones would have to have some improvement, especially if one has a split in it. According to the Haynes repair manual the stabiliiser bar bushes need to be removed and refitted using a hydraulic press. Also you have to lower the rear crossmember to access the clamps that secure the bushes to the body.
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
Thanks Dayvo I'll have to look into it.
From what I can see without having it off the ground is the sway bar links 8 points are quite easy to get to.
Arent the ones attaching the swaybar to the body different?
