howdy
ive got a 86 VL Calais
the other day my mate crashed into it while it was parked (hes an idiot)
he hit my drivers side quarter panel and wheel. a tiny bit of the door
my wheel is bent on a massive camber, quarter panel is dented up, throttle now sticks so i have to put my foot behind the pedal to take off the revs. my bonnet doesnt line up now either. oh and now the strut is very soft
anyway we have a done a police report n stuff for insurance purposes.. soon the car is going to a crash repairer... im hoping its not written off.. but considering the age of the car, do insurance companies even bother with these older cars anymore.. or would they just write it off straight away?
I dont have any pics of the damage sorry.
what are your thoughts?
cheers.. sid
wouldnt take much to write a vl off mate, so i wouldnt be suprised if it is written off
Yeah VL's are worth nothing these days (in the eyes of insurance companies atleast...), by the sounds of it, it is a definate write off, same goes for VN/P's now, a dinged panel will make you clutch at straws when dealing with insurance comapanies.
yeh its its a write off they wrote off my mums vr so this is def written off
