Just curious, I spotted this xr6 in the carpark near my work. I saw the lights in the grill, but I wasn't sure if this was an unmarked police car or not?
I know the police are using "hoon" cars nowdays, is thins one of them?
Sorry it's so big, I don't know how to make it smaller.

Could be. Should have waited around to ask![]()
The best way to tell would of been to see if there were lights on the rear also...Unmarked police vehicles will have rear lights aswell wether mounted either side of number plate or in back window.

Drop a big burnout next time you see it, you know smoke the tyres until they're ready to burst and you'll soon find out if it's the jacks or not!
'Ah well, I suppose it had to come to this.'
P plate..for an unmarked cop is pretty weird. Kinda hard to tell though, especially if it doesn't have an extra aerial for the CB radio or whatever they are.
I seen 1 of these bout a month back on the kwinana fwy, was 1 of those xr6 turbos tho. All kitted out, lowered, tinted u name it, had no ariels on it the only thing i saw just was 1 and only 1 of those rear lights they use on the right side of the parcel shelf. Sneeky coz the spoiler hides the light if ur following behind.

Is it legal for them to display P plates even if its to try to uphold the law? because if any other fully licensed driver did that, its a fine.
We got rep back, yaaay!
Driving home from work tonight I saw two suss looking commodores parked alongside busy and burnout happy areas and actually wondered if they did that. Question answered, very efficient

as far as i was aware pursuit cars arent allowed to have after market rims due to load and speed ratings now i could be wrong so feel free to correct me
I've driven fast cars I've done stupid shit in them each time i seem to come out on top i love you guardian angel
vp ss 3 months to go
Could be a Vicroads car, they have an unmarked blue xr6 with grill lights running out of sunshine .. saw it pull someone over the other day :-) (EDIT: Just saw the p-plates der, probli not vicroads then)
But my vn has grill lights in the same pattern so could be either way, And yes they are yellow a mate uses it for for work every now and then :-)
no doubt it isnt with them leds around the ford badg ,wish i could drive my v8 ute on my ps lol but its also good 2 see what they do with my tax money lol
If this was in Victoria, I highly doubt it.
nope it isnt because the police where i come from dont usually put them so obviously seen their and that was people can tamper and smash them as well so no it isnt. And they have to have a big arial as well and i havent seen that so my money is on defs not. Ive never seen p plates on one but maybe i just havent been in a situation to see one like that.
They usually put the lights on the sun visors inside the car (seen 3 golf gti's with that) and in the spoiler. My dads a correctional officer so im pretty knowledgable in that. I wouldnt worry......but then again if thats an xr6 turbo or an xr8 a p plater cant drive that car so u never know![]()
and if it were NSW it'd well and truley be a BF by now ... Ford were the easy ones to update, Holden were the difficult ones by offering no fleet discount on cars in the early days of the VE they were hesitant to buy VE's til the pricing became competitive so there were a few VZ's ... especially SS HWP cars, for a while, but even now I think their all gone ...
