Hi everyone.
Have been wondering about this for some time. I'd love to know if any companies sell tyres with white writing on them. I want to put them on the wagon. It has the standard 15x6 stock wheels on it.
Don't know what it is about them, but when i was a kid i saw an old Lada sedan with some wide wheels on it and those white writing on the tyres and i thought that was the best thing in the world.
Any help would be appreciated.
EDIT: This was the model Lada if anyone was wondering (but it does not have the cool tyres on it):

For a cheapo version just buy a good quality paint pen and go over the writing yourself
If ignorance is bliss why aren't there more happy people around ?
I thought i could but my tyres for example have a 2 sided section (if that makes sense) so on the inside of the tyre (closer to the rim) it has nothing and on the other side (closer to the thread) it has some very small writing on it, so it does not look exactly right.
But yeah in the worst case i'll try getting a pen and going over it. So this paint pen, who normally sells them?
if you want them really bad try going to a tire place and inquire?
i think bridgestone makes them.
Yokohama make a line for muscle cars with the white writing on them, but I agree the time is right for front rake and big fat 15 inch tyres with white letters to make a come back![]()
bridegstone used to do the eager i think it was, i had a set on my ute and they looked tuff as brooooo![]()
Yep the Eager were the tyre of choice if you wanted to be cool in 1990![]()
^^ haha, yeah i remember those days.
Man i must be getting old......

White lettering went out about 30 years ago....
give the white pen a try. A good pen to use is a Uni Posca in white. We use them all the time at work. I believe we buy them from blackwoods or corporate express. just give the letters a rub with sandpaper first.
Why would you want white writting?
Because it was the thing to do in the 70's-early 80's, however, this is 2009....
Your so 2008 man, we are bringing the white letters back, you better spin those tyres around
I reckon a good set of tyres look good with white lettering, so what if it was a "70's thing"?

white letters look mint. id prefer them over whitewalls. doesnt suit every kind of rim though. i reckon black rims would suit them

I'll never own a car with white lettering on the outside. I won't follow your trend....
Edit: This is the ONLY time you will see my car with white lettering on the outside (pic attached). However, if i had a choice, it would be on the inside.
