I was putting my intake manifold back on yesterday, and was having trouble finding the final bolt. Ended up finding one that has broken, and seemed to fit into the hole that no other bolt would go into. I put two and two together there. This is the bolt of the front on the drivers side of a 304, next to the thermostat. Whats the easiest way to get this out? Use an ezy-out or something? I dont want to damage the head or anything

Cut a small groove into the top of the snapped bolt and use a screwdriver to unscrew it
I assume if u didn't realise it was snapped off when the manifold was off, the bolt has broken inside the hole hey? If so, it makes it a little harder but still possible. Try the ezyouts, but if they don't budge it, try a product called 'freeze-release'(in an aerosol can), can't remember who makes it tho, but it freezes what it touches pretty much, also try tapping the bolt with something to try and release it.
My bro snapped a head bolt from over tensioning it. He pretty much tapped it with a hammer and it unscrewed with his fingers.![]()
