oil differences

what is the best engine oil i can use for my vu v6 ecotec engine and what should i stay away from?
what are u guys using?

hey mate, if you do a search there should be a fair few threads on this
I use, and alot of other people use Petrite HPR 15 or HPR 30. depending on how many k's etc
if its in good nic, not too many k's and no really bad oil leaks i'd go for the HPR15, otherwise the 30. i've used others in my ecotec and i wouldnt use anything else now

Stay away from cheap turd, use something between 15W50 and 20W60, and with a rating of SM/CF ( only the best )

Hmmm, not letting a new user search....that would be crazy if it was true.....although it seems that way when many new users post immediately with questions that have been answered before. Maybe if you type more info, then the search function will help you. Imagine typing just the word oil in other search engines like google. Can you imagine the results.
