    Default Beware on ebay!!!!

    Hi everyone,

I dont like making post like this but i dont want anyone else to go through what i have been going throught the last 2 month on E Bay.

There is a person on E Bay with the user name 'street-commodore' i advise you all not to buy off this person as i did and found heaps of problems it was ment to be over night freight and it took 3 days from the time it was picked up to get delivered to me, and it did not get posted untill 3 weeks after i paid for it.

I bought a VX Clubsport body kit and the fog lights to go in the front bar.

Then when i received the goods i noticed that he sent me the incorrect items only 2 things were what they were ment to be and i got 5 things off him. The front bar is a VX Clubsport front bar but the side skirts and the rear bar is a VZ Clubsport set. The only correct things were the front bar and the fog lights.

When i contacted him to resolve this issue he will not replace the incorrect items and will not refund me any money.

I just thought that i would let everyone know

    cheers

Contact ebay and file a dispute complaint that'll make him pay ur money back. id say he doesnt want 2 coz its gonna cost him a fair bit in freight gettin the items off u and then sending the correct parts.

Hey mate sorry to hear about the mixup with this seller. eBay My World - street-commodore

Yeah he does have nearly 1000 feedback and 99% positive, so I can see why you would trust him. Hopefully it gets resolved.

I only ever look at the negative feedback, that way you can tell what problems might come up, any one can have a high number of positive feedback but thats usually a bad way to check what the seller is like.

I hate to say it, but I had a similar situation, bought a VZ light switch with fog light off someone from ebay, the switch was faulty, paid for it through paypal, contacted the seller, said "perfectly fine when I sent it" as they always do, filed a dispute, heard nothing from paypal, contacted paypal they said, nothing they can do so they closed the dispute. Sent paypal and e-mail and they said, "yeah, nothing we can do". Seller had positive feedback etc. In my experience paypal = fail and some people use ebay just to get rid of their broken crap instead of throwing it in the bin.

similar thing at the moment. Member sumthingcool aka Peter Carr aka Charlie Richards listed some parts for me then sold them locally to someone else after i'd paid. He cancelled the sale which i agreed with but suddenly won't do a refund - no response. I threatened legal action but he rang my local police and said i was making violent threats lol. Opened a paypal dispute and escalated it. See what happens on friday when his chance to respond expires - according to paypal im safe.

I'm getting sick of idiots on eBay, just had someone with -1 feedback win an auction then decide they didn't want the product any more and said they don't care they're giving up on eBay

Funnily enough when I buy some second hand things I look to see that they're not a professional seller. My logic is that stuff that has more likely been in their possession and not a just a commodity would be looked after/better quality. I also through their sell buy to see if the item was previously bought/sold, good indicator of what they're selling, maybe stripping a car, or forwarding on crap...Anyhow, my logic never always rings true im afraid, thats the crapiddy of ebay im afraid....

I'm a regular ebay user... although I don't buy second hand items. I generally only buy 'buy it now' items which are brand new. I haven't had any problems yet. I brought some DJ gear (speakers + sub and 2 amps) from america and perfect condition, I only buy of people with like 20,000+ feedback with like 95% positive. As far as I'm aware though, you generally need to pay for freight back to them if your returning the item and they will pay the new freight back to you (so I hear). I don't trust anyone with under 20,000 feedback... unless maybe if its something from australia.. never really brought anything from australia though :S Australia is too expensive lol... the speakers I wanted (Yamaha S215V) I'd have to pay $2400 and then freight from Sydney, while I got them from american for $1400 including shipping.
