The one thing I hate about my car is the bloody seat belt alarm. Can it be disabled by any means short of an act of god?

I've read about people turning them off but personally dont know how to do it. I think you have to go to holden to get them to disable it for you.
A Commodore is a passion. Anything else is just a car
Do you reckon they'd do it or would it be illegal?
For all 8 cylinders...
simple...just ground the wire that runs up the stalk.

The alarm can be disabled using a Tech2 at a dealer, they may sook about it as there was a dealer letter released during production directing that it can only be turned off in police cars if they ask.
if you ask nicely they should do it though\

Rob
Maybe put your seatbelt on?

wtf...... the seat belt alarm goes off and you didnt think of putting your seatbelt on??
thats a first
Bloody hell.
The seatbelt alarm is there to remind you to put your seatbelt on. If you havent already put it on and you're driving down the road then maybe you shouldnt be driving because you dont have a firm grasp of the road laws.
Put your bloody belt on, and the alarm wont go off. How hard is that?
hahaha pisser. if you're that keen on flying through the windscreen when you crash just plug the seatbelt in before you get in.
idiotic though.
When does it actually annoy you?
OMFG....my seat belt alarm never annoys me, infact iv never herd it......CAUSE I WEAR MY SEAT BELT YOU DOUCHE
This thread should be made a sticky with a how to for future reference. And just to clear things up if i have got it confused, the seat belt chime warning me that the seatbelt isn't plugged in will stop when the seatbelt is plugged in, amazing, when will technology stop.
Lol I think you guys are a little harsh. He never said he wanted to drive with his seatbelt off and not have an alarm going off in his ear. All he wants to know is how to turn it off, obviously disregarding the fact that buckling the blet up is an option.
Same can be said about the passenger seat aswell..I know at work recently alot of Corolla owners have come in asking for the sensitivity can be turned down, so when they put their bag or whatever on the passeneger seat, the alarm doesn't go off.
I reckon you should just wear the bloody thing- problem SOLVED!
'Ah well, I suppose it had to come to this.'
