2006 VZ "headlights on with ignition on" feature

Hi everyone,

Is it normal to have "headlights on with ignition on" feature on a 2006 Holden VZ? I have a decal next to my light switch which says the above quoted and I can't turn the headlights lights off completely when the ignition key is switched on. However, when the car is turned off, and no key in the ignition, I am able to turn on/off lights (inc park lights) as normal. Is this normal?? any help is much appriciated.

p.s. I recently bought this car.

Not factory no, Is your car White and a wagon? As far as i know this is a Telstra added feature, all telstra cars headlights cannot be turned off with the ignition on.

They dont remove this when they are finished with the car tho.

Thanks mate! no, it's not white or a wagon. stan'd Exec. But yeah, it's a previous Telstra fleet car. must be OH&S reasons.
