just wondering if anyone has reecently driven from melbourne to the gold coast in a v6? if so just wondering how much it set you back? ive tried working it out based on a full tank and how far i get but its still hard as thats for city driving not highways. cheers. btw its an ecotec vs
Wild stab in the dark with rough figures as a worst case, 10L/100kms, about 1700km, so 170L @ $1.30L = $221... budget that and you'll be safe.

Ill be going to queensland soon (brisbane) from melbourne.
If you take the inland way its 1779kms and if you go up the coast way through sydney its just over 2000kms.
Depending on your economy. Mines about 800kms to a tank. So it would take me almost 3 tanks.
Just make sure you are prepared and take a gerry can just incase. If you take $1 for every k youll have plenty enough money for fuel.
Take spare hoses and two spare tyres aswell.
I went from Melbourne to Kempsey in my VR, took me about 2 and a half tanks. I filled up in Melbourne -> Half a Tank in Albury -> Half around Goulbourn -> Half in Newcastle.
I would take a rough guess at about 3 and a half tanks. Gold Coast is only 500 ks from Kempsey so Highway driving pretty easily half a tank to an extra tank than what I used.
Probably around 2 and a half to 3 tanks.
I used 2 and a half tanks in my LS1 statesman with about 400kg of people and luggage in it, id say a v6 would be about the same (having a smaller tank size)
Well it would be a very safe budget, but probally 3 or 4 times more than you need![]()
costed me 1000 to get from phillip island to perth and thats about 4000 km away and that was a vs ecotec and when the fuel was sky high 2.00L
how much would it cost to drive melb to brisbane on lpg?
