Default statesman dash + relocating climate control?

just a few more questions that are bugging the s*** out of me, you see i recently received my tax return and theres a few things i want to do. i only got my 96 exec in may and its my 1st so i dont know EVERYTHING there is to know so to all the older guys please excuse my "inexperience"

    1. having just got my tax im about to buy a full vs statesman dash, providing i keep my old cluster is the dash as easy as old one out new one in?

    2. for anyone who has read the current street commodores and saw the article on deleting your ash tray/ciggie lighter i have just completed it but have now realised i would like to re locate the climate control in that area, what is required to do this? do i just need some extra lengths of wires? i originally wanted a calais climate control but i hear its expensive to do and more trouble than its worth?

sorry to bore you with my lack of knowledge but this place is where i learn everything i know and everyone is so helpful. cheers

theres no climate control in execs, just standard A/C.

There have been a few people do dash conversions so have a look around, it rly shouldnt be too hard as its not very different

well for one thing the massive rod that sticks out of the back that controls the heater

ya ints not all small wires unfortunetly for you, its thick rods and tubes that manually adjust the things like fan speed and heater.

88 greenvn will tell you it can be a pain as he has done a conversion to climate control.
