    Default Dust Problems

I don't know if any of you guys live in the country or drive on many dusty roads, but i do and i am having some real issues with dust entering the cab.
As soon as i start my ute for the day and turn on the fan i get blasted in the face with DUST!!! Its really bad because its getting into my CD Player and its just making the whole ute really dusty inside (very frustrating!).
I always have my fan on 're-circulate' when i am driving the dusty roads, then when i get to the asphalt i turn the fan onto the 'face' setting to get some fresh air, and it still blows dust in.
Any idea's? My door seals and everything are alright.

Any help or suggestions would be great!

    Cheers

I'm guessing there's some sort of filter on the vent piping, that's missing or shot... I live in the sticks, drive a VS, and never get that.
Unless someone gives you a better idea: Trace the vent piping, open the joins up and have a look in each... You might find remnants of the filter. If no filter is present, maybe make your own filter and put it in?

yeah, check options for a filter, i'm not sure about the any on the VS... But it'd help to at least strip as much of the system as possible and blow it out with a compressor or similar to rid most of the dust..

My country miles were spent with the air on FRESH with HIGH fan setting, but only when no-one was infront kicking up dust, this provided positive cabin pressure and helped stop dust building up in all parts of my interior (regardless of seal condition, bulldust has a mind of it's own)...
as for driving behind someone on a dusty road, no help there mate, round 'em up or let em go... (but yeah, recirc helps in this instance as you are well aware...)

Well i removed the dash and i blew out the dust for 2 hours (there was a lot of dust). I blew down the air vents and got rid of all the dust that was in there. I blew until there was not a speck of dust coming out. So i thought thats cool, that should help. I went for a drive the next day fan on HIGH setting and on Re-Circ and i get showered in dust AGAIN !!!
Im sure that its not my door seals that are the problem now, it is definitely coming through the air vent. Is there such thing as an air vent filter? Can someone explain to me how i get to it if it exists? How the hell can dust get in there???!!!! Its almost like there is a massive hole in it that just sucks the dust in. It is Pissing me off. Does anyone have a diagram to show the parts of an air vent on a VS?

    Thanks

Well im bloody sick of this, i can't stop it. I have checked the whole ute, i have sealed every little hole and crack i found. I even tightened the doors so they seal tighter. It is still coming through the vents! Its not coming from anywhere else. Why the hell does it do it? I always have my fan on re-circulate and on HI setting when driving in dusty conditions, ALWAYS. I have tried everything to stop this from happening but it still lets dust in. I just started my ute this morning and turned the fan on to No.2 and it blew dust all over me and i had just cleaned the ute yesterday! Im angry, real angry!
