    Default 275/35R19 tyres,, where?

    Hey guys

    so my folks are up for rear tyres in their VE R8 and it turns out its really hard to find them!

    where looking at a set of hancook v12s but theyre on back order for 6 weeks!

    anyone know anywhere to look for good tyres somewhere sa?

    Most places should be able to order some in for you, but they won't keep them in stock because nowhere sells 275 width 19" tyres overly often.

    Yeah thats the problem mate its such a odd size

    and dad refuses to pay the 900odd for the bridgestones again

    I think they were around 400 a pop

    but hey, its better that going for the bridgestones haha


    it wouldv been cheaper to just get the 20"s more common than a 275 19!

    Khumo do a 273/35/19, could be an option. Dad had them on his Corvette but after a few car shows they didn't last long

    lol OEM Bridgestone's in 20's still retail for over $900 i should know, i tore a bead on one at work!

    Dont the VE's run 40 series tyres??

    the old boy bought his from wheel worx for his SSV about 580 each, holden's RRP was 750 i think so they do good deals

    check them out here

    I don't recall seeing 'my dad can't afford tyres'. Maybe he doesn't want the Bridgestones cos they are not worth that sort of money..?

    lots do 275/35 19s.....


    apart from Hankook
    there is Toyo Dunlop Goodyear and Kumho all in that size
    Smitty...with the VE SSv SII Sportswagon, VK race car and... Kwaka ZX12R

    the fronts are 40s but theyre only 245s


    and afford them isnt the problem, whos honestly going to put nearly 2g of tyres on just the BACK of a car

    the bridgeys are good tyres, but arnt that good wear wise... rooted after 30thousand ks its ridiculous


    ill give wheel worx a call tomorrow if i get time i did think of them
