    Default Larger alternator is there?

    G`day just wanting to find out if there is a larger amps alternator for my vr v6 i run a lot of extra lights thru relays but feel i am sqeezing the guts out of my standard alternator is there an alternative that will go in place of my standard one and how can i test how much current i am drawing with everything going for example lights and aircon and anything else that draws current i have a few multi meters if that is what i need to run a test thanks to anyone that can help me and opologise if this has been brought up by others in the past thanks bruce.

    I gathered everyone may not want to look at threads under electrical wiring etc so i chucked it into general also .

    righto, np's. got some replies in your other one anyways. How many extra lights we talking? two pairs of spotties, and a few running lights? 800watts 'ish'?

    i have 2 x 150w 2 x 100 2x 50w 2x 100 H3 hi beam plus low beam whatever that is keeping in mind if i happin to have the aircon going thats quite a lot of current and i must include around 15 leds but there not to much of a current draw then add leds and tail lights on my trailer i use for my stall at rodeo`s and ute shows maybe i should carry a generator in the bloody trailer to run it all lol if ya like me and ya out on country roads nearly every weekend and at night ya need as much light as possible and the last thing i wanna do is to be stuffing an alternator maybe i should keep a spare in the car cya.
