i've never seen anyone chrome pursuities (i assume that;s what you mean by stockers) but the rims on the front and steel wheels on the back looks terrible in my opinion... however to each their own... talk to someone who does electroplating but i think the cost would be very prohibitive due to the size of the rims...

So you just want to drive around with them on to look "cool"? If so.. do it to a ford and stop making us commodore drivers look like hoons.

Or are they for track use? Bit pointless and a waste of chrome if your going to be re-fitting the 18's on the back.

if it is for the "cool" look then = FAIL!!!!!

but if for just burnouts then ok but no point wasting money on getting them chromed
If its got Wheels or Boobs its gonna cost ya money

electroplating is ur best bet to get em chromed but it will cost u a bit.

with stockies on the rear u will be a cop magnet, just letting u know. good luck and if u do end up getting em chromed, post up pics

Thats alot of effort just to be trashed lol.

Youre only cool if you have stockies all round though. Big rims are so pre-2005. Most newer cars come standard with 18's!

I prefer to run 15's all round because you get more acceleration and tyres are a dime a dozen, and you dont look like all the other young 'cool' drivers.

You'd be looking at $200-$250 minimum a rim to get 15 stockies chromed.

i have 15's because they are a nicer ride over the 18's i had, money didnt affect my decision. also its annoying having to worry about scraping them or having them nicked.

I switched to stocks as well, from 18" and as it is my work car i visit many peoples houses. As TVR-161 said i don't have to worry about scraping and the ride is smoother. Some of the roads that i park at are really bad for scraping rims.

my personal opinion is either go all stockies or none because everytime i see a commodore with 2 rear stockies i know what there are going to do eventually and i think there tools (sorry but i dont mean to offend anyone its just my opinion)

theres nothing more 'tuff' than a set of legit interceptors wearing decent rubber.

but until I have money to blow on a set Im happy enough to keep my 15" VR calais rims.

or I might just paint some stockies for now

From what i can remember , to get them chromed the centre and the rim have to be chromed separately then jig welded back together. The reason is to stop the chrome peeling where the centre and the rim meet.

4x silver (not chrome) 15x7s with 245s or gtfo

The only place where stockies on the back and alloys on the front is acceptable is the drag strip.

    (a) i do want them as burnout wheels
    (b) i do want them as drag wheels
i jus want them to look sweet during burnouts nd drags... der lol
i hav the money to do it so why not. it will be different. i was thinkin like 6.5" - 7" wide interceptors to get the fatter look but the wheels r gonna cost too much so why bother. i'm jus gonna go through tyres nd money. 2 15" by 6" chaser rims. ill post pics one day wen it's done. i'm one of them ppl that will jus spontainiously go sideways around a corner nd do linelockers for friends. i dnt want my 18's on the back cause i will still do it wif em on.

So i'll assume the burnouts are street burnouts. If you say otherwise now, i won't believe you lol.

Where abouts are you again? I'll remember never to go there, i don't want a side swiping commodore crashing the car that i've put all my time into.
