    Exclamation VP restrictors

    hey, are there any other restrictors in the buick V6 VP other than the one in the intake mani? wat little home job mods can u do to get that little extra power out of it?????

    stock air box is a piece of s**t. Repco has some VN-VP CAI, the type that sits on top of the fan mine cost $49. works best with a K&N high flow pannel filter and is better than an exposed pod.

    l67 airbox and intake scoop, shouldnt be any more than $100 from holden.
    Gives an improvement in throttle response and pretty cool induction noise.

    You could build yourself a fresh block with a cam etc if you know how and have the tools etc at home.

    oh ok. is it true that u shouldnt put a cam in the buik V6's? apparently it doesnt work well wif the fuel injection. a friend told me.....

    he isnt on just commodores. he has the commodore i'm lookin at buying. he told me coz i wanted to put a cam in it if i buy it. so wat will happen if i put a cam in it? why isnt it gd for the buik V6's???????

    Depending on how many k's it has done, buicks can spin cam bearings if the k's are high.

    From what I have read, not personal experience, 200 000kms would be the thresh hold for fitting a cam.

    so 200 000kms would be the highest kms to put a cam in it???
