i understand that having no manifold ruins the valves but would it be acceptable to just have a manifold? Or would it be better to cut the pipe jst after the cat? any help would be appreciated

what sort of motor are we talking?
you need the exhaust pressure because it takes the heat away from the valves
say a 1.3 3k old corrolla engine
would it matter if it had extractors?

extractors will make the biggest difference exhaust wise...
your best bet is to try different setups an see what gives the best gains to suit your needs
yer but wold there be any point cutting out the muffler then?
being its already got extractors and 1 muffler setup
