Hey have a series 200 vl and started losing power yesterday, i took off from the lights with my foot to the floor and it went no where startede chugging. just had it serviced so pretty sure it's crap fuel and can't find the drain plug to drain it.![]()
Couple of melbourne servos were selling bad fuel, there was a whole report on current affairs about it, apparently losing power and rough idle is the first sign. but if its chugging just first make sure the spark plug leads are in order and plugged on tight.
were did you last fill up?
filled up at 7-11 where we always fill up, e10 fuel. we always use it and no problems till now
thnx, checked the leads an they r fine. not suprised bout the reports of bad fuel.
i would go back and say something (not that much can be done). im feeling for you i would be so annoyed. thank goodness i have lgp i would have switch it over gone straight back and complained. sorry i cant find my service book to look, i have never had the prob sorry i cant be more specific.
dang i type to slow...lol
lol thnx anyway have been in similar situation b4 with another car, jus have to find out how to drain the fuel then take it back to them an get my money back! yes not too impressed
not sure there is a drain plug on the fuel tank, could be wrong. maybe syphoning is the way to go?
mmm that may be the way to go, didn even occur to me lol thnx
No drain plug on the fuel tanks at all.

Actually, on this subject I copped a s***house load of fuel from BP this morning. Went back after I started noticing problems and all I got was "you can't prove it". I never fill up at BP because they have a bad name here ut I was so short on time today that I didn't even think twice.... Never again though.
Is the car ok mate? they reckon that this bad crap can screw it hell and you can kiss the engine goodby
As long as you get in quick enough and swap out the fuel filter aswell it will minimise any effects on the engine, but it's still not good enough by a long way.
