has anyone seen LED globes in standard tail lights. NOT ALTEZZAS

hey i was wondering has anyone seen or have LED globes put in their stock tail lights before. NOT ALTEZZAS by the way!

do you think they would look any different to standard globes in the dark? or could you see the LEDs?
Im thinking of putting them in a VT S2

I had them in my ute when I had the black tail lights in it and you could not see them during the day at all. They might be different behind a lens though. You will also need a flasher relay so they don't flash like they are on speed.

If you really want I can sell you my 4 bulbs and relay for 20 bucks delivered. The relay cost my 25 bucks alone.

The white reverse lights are a different story though.. they are awesome and I highly recommend them. The colour is a lot better than standard bulbs (can take pics if you really want me to).

They're rubbish as tail lights. They tend to light up an isolated area of the lens, instead of the whole thing. Many LEDs also have a habit of appearing pink instead of red.

Yeah mate, i put them in my VN with my original tail lights still in there. the only difference was, coz i didn't have the little box to convert the led to normal thru the wiring, my indicator lights would tick away like there was one not working, you know like flicking really fast. I think you need a capacitor or something wired into the line if you want to put in the led indicator lights, otherwise my red led lights were fantastic.

I bought the globes from ebay, and there was about 28 little lights all around it. It lit them up nice and brightly. Only problem thou, coz there were so many little led lights, they ended up burning a little scorch mark on the inside of my lights coz they got so hot, especially with mjy lights on at night.

Definately recommend getting some thou, they're brilliant
