Default Any way to move the position of the throttle pedal?

Just wondering if it's possible to raise the accelerator slightly off the floor and closer to the brake pedal? It seems very close to the ground and it's going to make heel-toe changes difficult once my manual conversion is done.

It looks like it can be done quite easily but I don't want to fool around with it in case it's not.

It's easy to heel-toe just use standard setup, unless your making it a track car it is excessively pointless for street use.

I think part of the problem is that mine is actually an auto - and I'm fairly sure the brake pedal is further away from the throttle than in the manual.

Thanks for the link to that thread, I might have a closer look at the pedal and try to work something out.

Well I've had a bit of a play around, but I know for certain that the throttle is definitely further away from the brake than my old VN or my Getz work car. I had a look at the linkage for the pad though, and it looks like it would be VERY easy to fabricate some sort of extension arm to bring the pad slightly closer and higher.

But, what appears to be the most obvious and easy solution would be to simply bend the pedal itself, however my limited knowledge of metal working says that doing so would weaken the metal and introduce the risk of failure, which I obviously want to completely avoid.

I'll be looking further into this

yeah mate i wouldnt go bending the metal id make up an extention, youll have to get the angles right otherwise you might end p with the pedal fouling on the floor or brake pedal

I reckon we could go with a dead horizontal extension, probably only needs to be 30mm long with maybe raising the pedal itself by about 15mm. I reckon that'll be perfect, it won't take much but it's just very slightly too far from the brake for me to be able to heel-toe properly at all. I've tried all sorts of angles and the only way which I felt even slightly comfortable doing was big toe on the brake, little toe on the throttle, and I certain wouldn't be trusting myself to brake carefully like that.

My dad's been working with metal for years though, so I'm confident we'll be able to easily put something together.

    Nice!

Too bad it'll probably cost me an arm and a leg though :P.

Will keep it in mind for when I have money.
