Id expect and issues to be related to how they have been driven which is probably
- over gutters
- over the speed limit
- hard
- fast

Just because its a cop car doesnt mean in flogged, they are serviced often and id assume most of their lives are spent cruising highways etc.
Like any second hand car it will have issues.

I had a VE Omega ex-cop, ended up selling it for a regular VZ SS because it was too fast for me. They put some kind of special tune in them and apparently there is a box next to the fuel filter in with some magnets or something. I don't know exactly but it was heaps quicker than any other car I've been in.

You should have swapped the wires around between the magnets. When you do that, they only run on two cylinders and make V8 sounds. Best of both worlds.

Mate they are taking the piss,most people think that because their car is an ex cop that it has some sort of special powers.
In answer to your question for the VE i have no idea what the differences would be.
Just sort through the crap that will fill this thread and you should get some sensible answers.

Yeah I think my VX SS mustve been ex HWY Patrol or something because i found speed holes in the bonet when I brought it. I couldnt handle the epicness so I brought a standard bonet. Best to be on the safe side.

Theres nothing special about them. They are standard cars with the standard crap with extra special holes in the dash where the instruments used to go. Theyve also been treated with contempt because the people who drive them couldnt give a shit about the car.

2nd battery was to run external devices, surveillance switch is to get in and out of the car without making light, suspension is just for handling, and possibly a bigger alternator and slightly more detailed speedo

Go and see if you got responses when you asked the same questions before. I'm not sure what answer you are looking to get but i don't think you'll find it without the use of illicit drugs.

For your own reference, click your username and go to "find all posts be xcopr" and you'll find the same questions asked in various places. If all else fails search for the user 'alien' who might be able to tell you more about the police than the actual police would.
