    Default Caliper Slide Bolts

Just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction where to find replacement caliper botls.
I was in the proccess of replacing my pads last night and one of the slide blots hex head decided to depart from its body . The prick is rusted in. I have to go and gets some Loctie Freeze & release before I attempt the others.
    Any help is much appreciated.

    Cheers

    Have you tried Holden/Repco/Supercheap/Autobarn etc?

Everyone always has trouble with these bolts. I never undo them when replacing pads, I undo the mounting bolts and take the whole caliper off.

In theory you aren't supposed to reuse them, should always replace them when they are loosened. I did a number on one just recently:

Fortunately the rest came out of the guide pin fairly easy.

that looks very much like the result of mine lol.
I am hopping to extract the rest of the bolt from the pin.
I have tried everywhere for the slide bolt but due to the age of them I can not get anything from anywhere other then the wreckers.
Oh and I have a new best friend, it is cakked "Loctite Freeze & Release" lol

Same thing happened to me last week. The front left caliper was seized and I took it off to free it up. One bolt was free but the other was locked solid. I snapped it trying to rotate it to free it up! I ended up drilling a hole in the caliper at the opposite end of the bolt that I was trying to remove and smashed it out with a parallel punch. I got a second hand caliper for $30 from the wreckers and reused the bolts from that. I was told by staff at Bursons that the bolts are available from PBR in East Bentleigh, Victoria but they are only sold in packs of ten!

I'd get the 10-pack, enough for 2 full pad changes and probably cheaper that way.

Exactly, there is no need to undo those bolts.
