Rb30 vs hq253

just wondering what would be faster and more powerful
stock 253 4 speed manual from a 73 HQ or a
non turbo 5 speed rb30 with no real work except pacemaker extractors and 2.5" exhaust

Standard engines the rb30 will be more powerful, reliable and use alot less fuel in the process.
But then the 253 will sound soooooo much better and then theres the fun factor in owning a v8!

I agree the rb30 will have more power and will use less fuel and cruise along nicer on a highway, but the v8 will sound better put a grin on ya face and it would probably produce more torque ????
