chev badges and southern cross stickers are gay lol, and nothing is gayer than people who put chev badges on their v6's. i still think this guy should do wat he wants, but in my opinion the best mods and the best looking cars are the more simple looking ones over doing it can easily kill a car or anything for that matter...less is more.

I'm not gonna retaliate with some bullshit whinge just to try and get back at you. The fact is you want to make your car into something it isn't, a HSV. In doing this, you will spend possibly $1000's and it will still only be a Calais.
Danja seems to get my point of making it a nice Calais. It can still be a car that is unique to everyone else and not your ordinary VE/Calais without all the fancy trimings like the body kit. The most basic and subtle mods can turn a car from stock to awesome, and most of the time doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Oh and two quick things: public forum, your last line in the original post, that enititled me to give MY opinion, which is exactly that, the opinion that I have which obviously differs to your's.
And an easy $120 on whitewalls compared to a shitload of cash on the mods you plan, can't see how that is really comparable.
nice car man. do it how you want it, because your the one that drives it and puts your money into it. very sure it will be a mean piece of machinery when your done
